A 10th anniversary is a nice one to celebrate.
Some of you were there in April 2009 for our first ever unconference on the future of news. Late in 2008, I shared with my dear friend Sean Blanda that there was Twitter chatter about needing to gather the practitioners trying to shakeup newsroom culture in light of newspaper-declines and recession-accelerated web shifts. He wrote a blog post and led the charge for Philadelphia to host this national gathering– in 2009 there were a few other smaller regional ones.
Then named Barcamp News Innovation, the even evolved and grew but maintained an organic spirit. This fall, on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, we at Technical.ly, with our friends at Temple University’s College of Media and Communications, will host the 10th annual.
Save the date. See you there.
