The pandemic couldn’t keep us down.
Last year we hosted a smashing virtual version. This year we opted for a smaller, intimate, outdoor, in-person storytelling edition.
We welcomed 40 attendees to gather round the outdoor fire pits of Frankford Hall in Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood to share stories of how our newsrooms and organizations have adapted to the pandemic. We even gone four generations of Technical.ly reporters in one place.
Attendees represented organizations range from Vox; TODAY Show; Associated Press; Inquirer; Resolve Philly; Philadelphia magazine; WHYY; Billy Penn; Philadelphia Tribune; IndustryDive; Love Say Media; AAA Mid-Atlantic; Al Dia; Delaware Community Foundation; Crossbeam; Independents Hall, and of course Technical.ly, Generocity and Klein College, among others including several startups and freelancers.
Multiple attendees specifically inquired about when and if the full Klein Camp will return!
Speaking of which, I did a rotten job taking any photos so here’s one toward the end of the night as folks were leaving!
