Wired Editor Steven Levy is this year’s lunchtime keynote. He’ll be in conversation with me. (Unfortunately our dear friend Leemay Nassery, a Spotify engineering manager and ML//AI expert, is now unable to join us due to a family sickness.)

As usual, most of the day’s sessions of an “unfconference” are created by the 150 or so journalists, marketing and media makers who attend. But we always pre-plan a couple to set the day’s tone. Given that we’re 10 days after the U.S. Presidential Election, we also have a session debriefing on the election with these heavy-hitters:
- Jess Estepa, campaign editor, CNN
- Chris Brennan, politics columnist, USA Today
- Holly Otterbein, national political reporter, Politico
- Denise Murray-Clay, Co Host, Philadelphia Hall Monitor
Programing around reporting on gun trauma will be led by longtime event collaborator and Pulitzer Prize-winner Jim MacMillan.
The day’s flow is friendly. Doors open at 9am for light breakfast, by 9:30am we begin to assemble the day’s programming. Sessions run from 10am to 4pm, with Levy’s lunchtime keynote in the middle. At the day’s end, we walk a few blocks for some pizza, beer and chatter.
